2024 Framingham Select Riesling

2024 Framingham Select Riesling

Our organic grapes are hand selected at just the right moment to showcase the satisfying tension between natural sweetness and crisp acidity. This wonderful aperitif style has wild raspberry and orange citrus fruit flavours, and a lower alcohol content.

WINEMAKING

Selective hand harvest of golden bunches on the 20th and 22nd of March.  These were an average of 21 brix.  60% came from the front and 40% from the back spur blocks.  Bunches were pressed whole with the resultant juices being fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel with neutral yeast to promote vineyard transparency.  Ferments were stopped at the desired balance, left on light lees for five months, then bottled.

TASTE

A subtle, layered aromatic profile with suggestions of orange citrus and honeysuckle.  Concentrated and elegant palate.  Some mineral, stone-like textures.  Tense, weightless and juicy finish.

FOOD MATCH

Great as an aperitif or match with spicy, vibrant, Asian cuisine.

ACID: 9.5 g/l
pH: 2.8
ALC: 9.5% vol
RS: 40 g/l
